I had this idea for the “Ring out the Old, Ring in the New” theme interpretation while working in my garden, clearing old leaves in the winter, and admiring new tiny shoots and opening buds. I was intrigued by skeleton leaves I found, all that remained was the delicate system of veins that made a lacy pattern. My image harmoniously blends these old leaves with new leaves, articulating my observation of the past – dissolving into oblivion but still holding memories and experiences, making way for the unstoppable force of the future.
